Role & responsibilities

a) Ensure the SMS implementation plan is developed, implemented, adhered to, behalf of the accountable executive and maintained by the respective Functional Head of the departments.

b) Ensure the availability of safety reporting boxes and reporting forms (SJT/SMS/01) at the area of work, for anonymous reporting of the hazards.

c) Ensure there is a suitable safety training programme in place, in SpiceJet Technic

d) Planning and facilitating staff safety training;

e) Monitoring safety concerns in the aviation industry and their perceived impact on the SJT operations aimed at product and service delivery.

f) Provide all necessary guidance and direction to the departments for implementation of the SMS.

g) Ensure adherence of Safety Policy by the SpiceJet Technic personnel. Report to the Accountable Executive on SMS performance and any need for improvement.

h) Advise Accountable Executive and Managers about any matter affecting the safety of aircraft maintenance.

i) Recommend resource allocations in support of safety initiatives.

j) Ensure emergency response plan is documented.

k) Oversee hazard identification and risk analysis systems developed by the departments.

Ensure maintenance of safety databases and safety documentation by the departments.

m) Ensure safety briefing and safety promotion of all concerned personnel is being carried out by Functional Head of the respective departments.

n) Disseminate the safety lessons in-house and exchange the safety information with external agencies.

o) Interact and maintain excellent working relationship with the operational personnel, senior managers and departmental head throughout the organization.

p) Coordinate and communicate with the DGCA (on behalf of the accountable executive) and other regulatory authorities on safety related issues. Represent SpiceJet Technic on matters relating to SMS as and when required.

q) Monitor the trends related to hazards, events and occurrences.

r) Carry out the safety audits, surveys and inspections of all operational are as per the policy.

s) Ensure all concerned staff is aware of and held accountable for their safety performance.

Preferred candidate profile

05 Years of aviation experience ,Out of 05 years of aviation experience, 2 years should be in aviation in an appropriate position
