Job Summary

As an Lead Engineer - ETL Testing, you will be part of an Agile team responsible for validating and ensuring the quality of enterprise-scale Data Warehouse and Azure-based data solutions. You will play a key role in testing complex ETL workflows, performing data validation, and ensuring data accuracy across source and target systems.

Responsibilities

- Perform end-to-end testing of ETL processes and Data Warehouse solutions.
- Validate data movement from source systems to target databases/data warehouses.
- Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for ETL workflows.
- Perform data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks.
- Write complex SQL queries for backend data verification and analysis.
- Validate transformations, mappings, business rules, and data accuracy.
- Work on Azure-based data solutions such as Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Data Lake.
- Identify, log, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teams.
- Participate in requirement analysis, test estimation, and defect triage meetings.
- Ensure data integrity, completeness, consistency, and performance of ETL pipelines.

Educational Qualifications

- Engineering Degree - BE/ME/BTech/MTech/BSc/MSc.
- Technical certification in multiple technologies is desirable.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Minimum over 5 years of ETL Testing experience
- Should be able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, work independently when required, and contribute effectively as part of a collaborative team
- Strong expertise in DWH Testing concepts
- Hands-on experience in SQL and Advanced SQL queries
- Good understanding of Data Modeling, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema
- Experience in validating large datasets
- Knowledge of Azure Data Services (ADF, Azure SQL, Synapse, Data Lake)
- Experience in defect management and test management tools

Good to Have Skills

- Python scripting for test automation and data validation
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology
- Exposure to BI reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Knowledge of Cloud data migration projects
- Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enhance your expertise in ETL Testing, DWH Testing, Advanced SQL, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, and up-to-date cloud-based data platforms while working on challenging and impactful projects
