Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Architecture & Bulk Sourcing Strategy
- Oversee and optimize the region's overall recruitment strategy to maintain an aggressive low Turnaround Time (TAT) for field sales and branch hires.
- Manage regional end-to-end recruitment funnels, ensuring cost-effective mix using portals like Naukri, LinkedIn, employee referrals, and walk-in drives.
- Oversee and empanel local hiring consultants, regional training institutes, and third-party staffing vendors.
- Monitor, track, and align actual regional headcount against the corporate-approved annual manpower budget.
2. Regional HR Operations & HRMS Governance
- Act as the primary regional administrator for the companys Human Resource Management System (HRMS).
- Audit and validate data integrity, monthly attendance logs, regional transfers, role revisions, and payroll inputs before final corporate processing.
- Streamline regional onboarding architectures and structured induction programs for all recent branch employees.
- Independently manage and clear regional employee statutory compliance items including PF, ESIC, and Professional Tax (PT) layouts.
3. Analytics, Reporting & Dashboard Management
- Maintain up-to-date, highly clean employee databases and regional organization structures.
- Generate, analyze, and present comprehensive monthly/quarterly HR dashboards regarding regional attrition trends, cost-per-hire metrics, and sales force productivity scorecards to central corporate leadership.
- Use data-driven insights to recommend structural or policy changes that suit the Tamil Nadu employment landscape.
4. Performance,
Capability & Grievance Governance
- Lead the regional execution of annual and mid-year performance appraisal cycles fairly and uniformly across all branches.
- Identify skill/capability gaps across branch workforces and partner with the central training team to run targeted learning interventions.
- Design and implement formal Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) for struggling field employees.
Act as the ultimate escalated authority for employee relations, grievances, and strict compliance with local labor regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education
- Mandatory: Master of Business Administration (MBA in HR), Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM-HR), or Master of Social Work (MSW-HR) from an accredited university.
Experience & Industry Domain
- Total Experience: 510 years of experience in HR Generalist, HRBP, or Regional HR setups.
- Sector Mandate: Prior experience within a retail banking, microfinance (MFI), NBFC, or housing finance ecosystem is highly required.
- Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of managing or leading an independent regional hub or multi-branch geography.
Core Competencies
- Language Proficiency: Absolute professional fluency in Tamil is necessary to lead, resolve conflicts, and hire across regional districts.
- Technical Savvy: Expert proficiency in enterprise HRMS tools (such as Darwinbox, PeopleStrong, Zoho People, or SuccessFactors) alongside advanced MS Excel analytical capabilities.
Travel Flexibility: Openness to travel extensively across regional branch hubs in Tamil Nadu for process alignment, town halls, and branch health audits
