NVH Specialist Brief

Experience: 15 – 20 years

Areas of Specialisation:

- NVH virtual Simulations, Vehicle level NVH refinement, Experimental Testing
- Experience in handling the NVH Hardware’s
- Bruel & Kjaer
- LMS Test Lab (Siemens)
- Head acoustics
- Sound level meters
- Experience in Acoustic Materials selection, optimization and performance evaluation - PU Foams, Glass wool, and Heat resistant materials - Impedance Tube Test (ISO 10534) & using reverberation chamber test (ISO 354)

Job Description:

- Lead NVH programs and projects, including of NVH expertise to internal and External customers
- Lead NVH team to meet the statutory requirements of Noise & Vibration targets on vehicle level for Domestic & Export products
- Experience in NVH simulations to predict and optimize the NVH performance in concept stage itself by using the FEA tools Hyper works, Ansys & Optistruct
- Knowledge in NVH Measurements on vehicle level, data analysis, instruments & Sensors
- Performing Experimental testing like Noise, Vibration, FRF, Modal analysis, ODS, and Noise Source identification on vehicle level
- Positive theoretical knowledge of digital signal processing technique
- Through analysis of NVH data including summary and recommendations to design team
- Design & development of NVH solutions based on the frequency content and to meet the overall vehicle level NVH target
- To Support the development of NVH components to integrate into vehicle systems & Package




- Investigate of NVH concerns and resolving the Customer complaints, and development of countermeasures in close collaboration with design groups
- Promote systematic use of NVH best practices early in the design process to prevent failure modes in products and providing guidelines
- Sound pressure Measurement for engines & Drivelines in Anechoic chamber to identify the major noise sources on system & components Level. Sound Intensity & Sound Power measurements on Engines
- Establish NVH targets based on Competitive analysis and customer expectations, to conduct NVH benchmarking for new product target setting and to meet the future noise norms
- Exhaust design and development for various vehicle configurations, to meet the operator Ear Noise Level & Pass by Noise level. Noise Insertion loss prediction
- Support for vehicle NVH performance, presentations, demonstrations, and visit to customer places for resolving the NVH concerns
- Develop and manage a test plan to confirm full vehicle NVH development and solutions implementation
- Advanced knowledge in NVH tools, Engineering techniques, Principles, procedures, NVH standards and concepts
- Planning and executing the NVH related testing, and also coordinating with core functions like testing team, Design Team & Homologation Team
- Manpower resource planning, Budget planning for NVH testing and development activity.
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels & excellent communication
