We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer NPD & Design to lead the development of electrical systems for our electric autonomous vehicle platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vehicle electrical architecture, wiring harness design, product development, engineering change management, and ensuring scalable designs ready for production.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Mechanical, Embedded, Software, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams throughout the complete product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Vehicle Electrical Architecture Development

- Design and develop complete vehicle electrical architecture for electric and autonomous vehicle platforms.
- Define electrical distribution, power management, grounding strategies, and protection systems.
- Select connectors, fuses, relays, wiring, and electrical components based on functional and environmental requirements.
- Support integration of controllers, sensors, actuators, batteries, and communication networks.

Current Product Development (NPD)

- Participate in the complete product development lifecycle from concept to production.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative electrical solutions.
- Ensure designs meet functional, reliability, manufacturability, and serviceability requirements.
- Support prototype builds, testing, validation, and production readiness.

Design for Production (DFP) & Scalability

- Develop electrical designs optimized for manufacturing, assembly, and future product scalability.
- Standardize electrical components and design practices across vehicle platforms.
- Support cost optimization and design improvements while maintaining performance and quality.

Wiring Harness Engineering & Validation

- Design and develop complete vehicle wiring harnesses using industry-standard CAD tools.




- Generate harness schematics, routing layouts, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
- Validate wiring harnesses through electrical, functional, and environmental testing.
- Support prototype, pilot, and production vehicle builds.

Engineering Change Management

- Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO).
- Maintain revision control and ensure proper implementation of design updates.
- Coordinate changes across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain teams.

Documentation & Service Enablement

- Prepare and maintain electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, validation reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop service manuals, troubleshooting guides, and repair documentation.
- Ensure complete design traceability throughout the product lifecycle.

Vehicle Configuration & Traceability

- Maintain vehicle electrical configurations across prototype and production builds.
- Ensure accurate tracking of component revisions and configuration changes.
- Support configuration management and product lifecycle management (PLM) activities.

Required Qualifications

Education

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline.

Experience

- 4-8 years of experience in:
- Vehicle electrical systems development
- Wiring harness design
- Automotive New Product Development (NPD)
- Electric Vehicle (EV) development (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in Electric Vehicles (EV), Automotive, or Off-Highway Vehicle industries.
- Knowledge of embedded electronics integration.
- Familiarity with LiDAR, cameras, sensors, ECUs, and autonomous vehicle electrical systems.
- Understanding of automotive standards and validation processes.
- Experience with DFMEA, Design Validation (DV), and Production Validation (PV).
