Position Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) Natural Stones (Marble & Granite)

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market penetration, and key account management for our premium natural stone portfolio (imported/indian marble, granites, quartzite, and onyx, etc.,). Based out of Calicut, this role will take care of individual clients, HNIs, architects, interior designers, builders, engineers, layers, influencers and project-based sales across Central Kerala.

The ideal candidate brings deep connections within the building material ecosystem - including leading Architects, Interior Designers, Real Estate Developers, Turnkey Contractors, and PMC firms.

Key Responsibilities

1. Specification Sales & Influencer Relationship Management

- Build and nurture strong, high-value relationships with top-tier Architects, Interior Designers (A&D;), and Design Consultants across Central Kerala (Around 8 districts).
- Conduct product presentations to get our product range specified in project BOQs during the design phase.

2. Business Expansion & Project Pipeline

- Identify and pipeline high-end commercial, luxury residential, hospitality, and institutional projects across Central Kerala.
- Work closely with Builders, Real Estate Developers, Turnkey Fit-Out Contractors, and PMCs to convert specifications into direct orders and closing deals.
- Manage end-to-end B2B sales cycles: inquiry generation, estimation, proposal submission, negotiation,



contract signing.

3. Regional Strategy & Channel Development

- Formulate and execute regional growth strategies tailored to regional dynamics:
- 4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Customer Care
- Collaborate with factory, processing, and logistics teams (Bengaluru hubs) to ensure timely material dispatch, dry-lay approvals, and quality assurance.
- Coordinate site visits, pre-installation technical guidance, and post-sales client support to maintain high client satisfaction.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Revenue Growth: Achieving quarter-on-quarter sales volume and value targets across assigned territories.
- Specification Rate: Number of project BOQs where company marble/granite lines are specified by target architects/designers.
- Recent Account Acquisition: Successful onboarding of top-tier developers, contractors, and design firms.
- Sales Pipeline Health: Total value of active qualified leads in Central Kerala.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements:

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related fields. MBA/PGDM preferred.
- Industry Experience: Minimum 10+ years in Building Materials (Marble/Granite, Ceramic Tiles, Engineered Stone, Architectural Hardware, Sanitaryware, Wall Cladding, Flooring).
- Network: Strong existing network of Architects, Interior Designers, and Developers across Central Kerala.
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel extensively (30–40%) across Central Kerala

Technical & Soft Skills:

- Strong aesthetic sense and understanding of stone finishes (polished, honed, flamed, book-matched layouts).
- Excellent negotiation, consultative selling, and closing skills.
