Job Summary:

The Safety Officer will be responsible for formulating and implementing robust safety policies and practices across all ongoing interior fit-out projects. This role ensures compliance with safety standards, fosters a culture of safety, and provides necessary training to all personnel working on project sites. The Manager Safety will also ensure that each project site is adequately equipped with essential safety tools and resources

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safety Strategy and Implementation:
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve safety policies, procedures, and guidelines tailored to interior fit-out projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international safety regulations and standards.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety practices and identify areas for improvement.

- Training and Awareness:

- Design and deliver comprehensive safety training programs for all project personnel, including workers, supervisors, and contractors.
- Conduct periodic refresher training to reinforce safety practices and ensure compliance.
- Promote a safety-first culture by organizing awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety workshops.

- Site Safety Management:

- Assess the safety needs of each project and ensure the availability of necessary safety tools, equipment, and personal protective gear.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of safety systems on-site, such as fire extinguishers, first aid kits,



and emergency evacuation plans.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate risks.

- Incident Management and Reporting:

- Investigate workplace incidents, accidents, and near-misses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports to senior management on safety performance and compliance status.

- Collaboration and Compliance:

- Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and contractors to align safety objectives with project goals.
- Ensure all subcontractors and third-party vendors comply with company safety standards.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and coordinate site inspections when necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelors degree in Safety Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in safety management, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
- Certification in fire/Construction safety will be a plus.
- Solid knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and hazard control measures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective training and stakeholder management.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and enforce safety standards across multiple projects.
