Key Responsibilities

- Design and development of AC-DC and DC-DC converters (SMPS)
- Design of battery chargers (isolated and non-isolated topologies)
- Selection and validation of magnetics, MOSFETs/IGBTs, controllers, and passive components
- Topology experience preferred:

1. Flyback, Forward
2. LLC / CLLC resonant converters
3. PFC (Boost / Totem Pole preferred)
4. Phase-shift full bridge

- Conduct simulations using tools like LT Spice / PLECS / PSIM
- PCB layout review with focus on EMI/EMC and thermal performance
- Hands-on debugging and failure analysis
- Design for compliance (EMI/EMC, surge, EFT, safety standards)
- Efficiency optimization and thermal management
- Cost reduction and component optimization
- Support for certification and production ramp-up

Required Skills

- Solid understanding of power electronics fundamentals
- Experience in battery charging algorithms (CC-CV, multi-stage charging)
- Knowledge of magnetic design (transformer, inductor calculations)
- Experience with digital or analog controllers
- Familiarity with CAN communication is an added advantage
- Experience in EV chargers is highly preferred
