Role & responsibilities
This role is responsible for supporting the European portfolio planning and reporting cycle through accurate financial submissions, analysis, and stakeholder communication across actuals, forecast, budget, and headcount reporting. - Prepare and submit monthly actuals, forecasts, and annual budget data in TM1, including reconciliations and variance analysis. - Provide clear and timely communication to the portfolio community on reporting deadlines, submission requirements, and key planning milestones. - Provide adhoc support in the form of reporting requests and TM1 queries. - Maintain monthly correction trackers through to final submission to ensure all identified updates are captured and completed. - Co-ordinate and lead basic monthly cost and benefit reviews with Head Office teams ahead of submission deadlines. - Build effective working relationships with regional colleagues to support alignment, issue resolution, and consistent delivery across the portfolio. - Pro-actively look for where efficiencies can be found within existing processes to maximise value add. - Produce monthly FTE reporting for inclusion within senior stakeholder updates. - Support with any ad-hoc Project Controlling requests.
Essential Job Duties
1. Ability to efficiently combine and consolidate data and information. 2. Preparation of upload files for submission to financial cubes. 3.
Confidently perform variance analysis including asking suitable questions to ensure commentary being requested provides enough context to understand any variances being flagged. 4. Require the ability to comfortably and professionally collaborate across Regional/Head Office teams but also cross-functionally (business/IT). 5. Demonstrate a proactive approach to learning and development, including the confidence to seek clarification and support when needed.
6. Maintain a solid focus on producing high-quality outputs that are professionally formatted, accurately punctuated, and presented to a consistently high standard.
Preferred candidate profile
Education & Experience. 1. CA/CMA or Finance graduate with 6+ years of experience in FP&A.; 2. General ledger knowledge will be an added advantage. 3. Strong accounting foundation with sound commercial awareness. 4. Experience of working with large volumes of data. 5. Major ERP system experience & finance data cubes, TM1, Oracle Accounting and Advanced Excel. Skills 1. Very good English communication skills both - spoken & written. 2. Accurate and efficient FP&A; skills. 3. Shows a strong willingness to learn and develop within the role. 4. Analytical thinking ability to assess data and draw meaningful insights. 5. Takes ownership of delivery, with a strong focus on achieving outcomes efficiently and through simplified processes. 6. Excellent attention to detail, balanced with the ability to understand the wider business context.
