Role mandate

The QC/QA Head owns the product gate at every stage of production incoming goods, in-process patrol, final electrical and dimensional testing, and the dispatch release. The QC Head does not define quality standards (that is QA) and does not improve processes (that is PI) the mandate is to detect non-conformance at the earliest possible point and prevent defective product from advancing.

Key responsibilities

- Incoming inspection: Execute material acceptance testing per QA-approved criteria and AQL plans. Quarantine and raise NCRs on rejected lots. Maintain 100% material traceability from goods inward.
- In-process patrol inspection: Deploy patrol inspectors at critical process stages post-stranding, post-extrusion, post-armoring, post-cabling. Catch defects at source, not at final inspection.
- Final acceptance testing: Own 100% Hi-Pot / dielectric withstand testing, insulation resistance measurement, conductor resistance, and dimensional inspection on all flight-designated product. No sampling 100% test.
- Dispatch quality gate: No product ships without QC release. Maintain the dispatch hold register. Liaise with Certification on lot dossier completeness before approving despatch.




- NCR management: Raise all NCRs within the same shift as detection. Provide PI with complete defect descriptions per the NCR quality standard (IF-2). Manage MRB submission within 24 hours.
- Calibration management: Maintain calibration schedule for all test and measurement equipment (Hi-Pot testers, IR meters, laser gauges, micrometers, torque tools). Zero out-of-calibration equipment on production floor.
- SOP compliance: Conduct regular floor audits to verify production is following approved process documentation.

Qualifications & competency

- Education: Engineering degree (Electronics / Electrical / Instrumentation)
- Experience: 8-12 years in quality control, with at least 3 years in aerospace, defence or medical field
- Certifications required AS9100D internal auditor preferred
- Knowledge: test methods • electrical test procedures
