About the Role

Netsmartz is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SOC Analyst to join our Cyber Security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for continuous security monitoring, incident detection, threat analysis, and timely response to security incidents in a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and analyze security events and alerts generated by SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, Firewall, and other security tools.
- Investigate security incidents, identify root causes, and recommend remediation actions.
- Perform threat hunting and proactive monitoring to identify potential security risks.
- Monitor network traffic, system logs, and endpoint activities for suspicious behavior.
- Escalate critical incidents to appropriate stakeholders and support incident response activities.
- Conduct malware analysis and support containment, eradication, and recovery efforts.
- Document security incidents, findings, and response actions accurately.
- Create and maintain incident reports, runbooks, and security documentation.
- Collaborate with IT, Infrastructure, and Development teams to address security vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging cyber threats, attack techniques, and security best practices.
- Participate in rotational shifts and provide support in a 24x7 operational environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



Cyber Security, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight, or LogRhythm.
- Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and security concepts.
- Experience with endpoint security tools, antivirus solutions, and EDR platforms.
- Knowledge of network security technologies including Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and Proxy solutions.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, Active Directory, and Windows/Linux operating systems.
- Experience in log analysis, threat detection, and incident management.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK; Framework, Cyber Kill Chain, and OWASP Top 10.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Certifications

- CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
- CompTIA Security+
- Microsoft SC-200 Security Operations Analyst
- GCIH, GCIA, or other relevant Cyber Security certifications
