We are seeking a highly motivated and technically sound Physicist / Ballistics Specialist to join our research and development team in Belgaum. The ideal candidate possesses deep theoretical and practical expertise in Projectile Motion, Classical Mechanics, and Ballistics (interior, exterior, or terminal).

Because advanced R&D; is an inherently collective effort, the ability to collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams (alongside mechanical, aerospace, and software engineers) is paramount to this role. You will translate core physics principles into actionable designs for real-world applications.

We are open to hiring:

- Full time: Fresh or early-career MSc Physics graduates.
- Consultant: Advanced PhD candidates or PhD graduates in Physics.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborative R&D; Integration: Work closely with cross-functional engineering and design teams to integrate ballistic physics into hardware, simulation engines, and product development cycles.
- Trajectory Modeling: Develop, simulate, and analyze mathematical and computational models for projectile flight paths, terminal dynamics, and aerodynamic drag.
- Ballistic Analysis: Evaluate interior (propulsion/launch mechanics), exterior (in-flight behavior), and terminal ballistics (impact dynamics).
- Data Simulation & Environmental Testing: Utilize computational tools (Python, MATLAB, etc.)



to predict projectile behavior under varying atmospheric and physical conditions.
- Testing & Validation: Partner with experimental and field testing teams to validate theoretical models against empirical test data.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare clear physics-based reports, trade studies, and performance matrices for internal teams and project leadership.

Required Skills & Competencies

- Cross-Functional Communication (Priority): Strong interpersonal skills with a proven track record of working in multi-disciplinary R&D; environments able to explain complex physics concepts to software engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers.
- Core Physics Mastery: Deep foundation in Classical Mechanics, fluid dynamics as applied to moving bodies, differential equations, drag coefficients, atmospheric drag models, gravity models, and angular momentum.
- Computational Proficiency: Proficiency in mathematical modeling and programming using Python, MATLAB, Wolfram Mathematica, C++, or specialized physics engines.
- Analytical Precision: Strong problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to quantitative and experimental data.
- Self-Direction: Ability to drive independent research initiatives while aligning deliverables with broader team deadlines.
