Duties and Responsibilities of the Senior Specialist, Software Engineering:

- Provides technical leadership within the development team through writing, testing and debugging complex and critical code for software solutions. Leads the development of major features or components.
- Leads the design and architecture of software systems, making strategic decisions to ensure scalability, flexibility, and maintainability.
- Takes ownership of critical features or modules within projects, driving their development from conception to implementation. Collaborates with product managers to define and refine requirements.
- Conducts and leads code reviews, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. Sets and enforces high code quality standards within the team.
- Contributes to project planning, estimation, and execution, collaborating with project managers and other leads. Acts as a technical lead on projects, ensuring successful delivery.
- Analyzes and solves complex and critical programming problems. Provides expertise in troubleshooting and resolving issues in the software.
- Oversees and contribute to detailed technical documentation for code, architecture, and system design.
- Actively contributes to process improvements, optimizing development workflows, and suggesting tools or methodologies that enhance efficiency. Implements best practices in the development process.
- Communicates effectively within the development team and with stakeholders. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment.




- Stays abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to lead innovation within the development team.

Skills and Experience of the Senior Specialist, Software Engineering: .

- 8+ years of Spring/J2EE application development experience (Spring Framework, Servlets, JDBC)
- 4+ years of relational database experience, developing queries and stored procedures (Preferably Oracle)
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in JMS, MQ based messaging services.
- Rest API
- Build tools, Maven, Jenkins, Gradle.
- Version control: Gitlab
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Cloud based applications (Preferably OCI).
- Proven ability to troubleshoot software applications
- Detail oriented, excellent analytical skills and good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and willing to learn and master new technologies
- Strong written and oral communication skills
