Job Description

Key Responsibilities

- Design, build, and maintain reliable automated test suites across Web, API, and Mobile platforms.
- Automate in-sprint user stories, ensuring tests are checked in alongside feature code and remain stable as the product evolves.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end, regression, and smoke test suites with a focus on reliability and speed.
- Build stable locator and synchronization strategies using test-ids, accessibility IDs, network stubbing, and explicit waits.
- Create and maintain reusable automation components, including libraries, fixtures, test data factories, and API seeding utilities.
- Contribute to and maintain CI/CD pipelines for test execution, including parallelization, artifacts, test reporting, and flaky test management.
- Produce clear and actionable test reports (Allure/HTML/JUnit) and track execution health such as pass rates, trends, and failures.
- Closely collaborate with developers and QA to debug failures, identify root causes, and raise high-quality defects.
- Support quality gates and automation best practices within the team.
- Explore and apply AI-driven ideas and tools to improve QA productivity, efficiency, and problem-solving.
- Mentor and support junior team members on automation practices, debugging techniques, and test design principles.

Mandatory Skills

- Hands-on experience in test automation across multiple layers (UI, API, Mobile).
- Web Automation: Cypress with JavaScript/TypeScript (custom commands, fixtures, intercepts, and page object/screenplay patterns).




- API Automation: Postman (pre/post scripts, environments, Newman in CI) or REST Assured (Java) with validations and schema checks.
- Mobile Automation: Appium with Java, using robust locator strategies such as accessibility IDs, iOS predicates, and UIAutomator.
- Strong understanding of testing fundamentals, including positive/negative scenarios, edge cases, test data management, and assertions.
- Experience integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or GitLab CI), including report generation and artifacts.
- Proficiency with Git workflows, including branching strategies, PR reviews, and merge conflict resolution.
- Solid debugging and troubleshooting skills across UI, API, logs, and device/network layers.
- Awareness of Fintech or business-critical system considerations, such as security, data privacy, idempotency, and auditability.

Desirable Skills

- Experience with contract testing (e.g., Pact) and working with mocks or stubs.
- Exposure to test containers and lightweight service virtualization.
- Familiarity with Jira/Xray for test traceability and reporting dashboards.
- Basic understanding of performance profiling for UI and APIs (e.g., Lighthouse, API timing).
- Knowledge of accessibility testing and internationalization considerations.
- Basic Docker knowledge for local environment and dependency setup.
- Hands-on use of AI productivity tools such as Copilots, Cursor, GHCP/Kiro, MCP/A2A concepts to enhance testing efficiency.
