Job Description Position: PGT Psychology Educator

n About the Role:
n Ekya Schools is seeking a passionate and experienced PGT Psychology Teacher who can
n effectively teach senior secondary students while also supporting the school's counselling
n initiatives. The ideal candidate should have strong subject expertise, excellent communication
n skills, and prior experience teaching the IB or IGCSE curriculum.
n Key Responsibilities:
n ● Teach Psychology to Senior Secondary students (Grades 11 & 12) following the IB or
n IGCSE curriculum.
n ● Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, student-centric lessons.
n ● Assess student progress through assignments, projects, examinations, and continuous
n evaluation.
n ● Foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a positive learning environment.
n ● Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
n ● Offer school counselling support by addressing students' social, emotional, behavioural,
n and academic concerns.
n ● Collaborate with parents, educators,



and school leadership to support students' overall
n well-being and development.
n ● Maintain accurate academic records and prepare student progress reports.
n ● Participate actively in school events, faculty meetings, career development
n programs, and curriculum planning.
n Eligibility Criteria
n ● Master's Degree in Psychology (Mandatory).
n ● B.Ed. is preferred.
n ● Prior experience as a Psychology Teacher in a school.
n ● Hands-on teaching experience with the IB or IGCSE curriculum is mandatory.
n ● Experience in school counselling or student wellness programs is highly preferred.
n ● Excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
