n As Buyhatke continues to scale in India and expand into international markets, we are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance function and play a strategic role in shaping the company's next phase of growth.
n About the Role:
n As the Chief Financial Officer, you will own the overall financial strategy and operations of Buyhatke and work closely with the founders on business planning, financial decision-making, capital strategy, risk management, and international expansion.
n The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in finance leadership, with meaningful experience working with startups, high-growth technology companies, or businesses operating across multiple geographies.
n Experience managing financial operations across India, the US, and European markets will be highly valuable, particularly for someone who understands the complexities of cross-border businesses, international taxation, compliance, reporting, and financial structures.
n This is a high-ownership leadership role where you will be expected to build a strong financial foundation while also acting as a strategic business partner to the founders and leadership team.
n What You'll do:
n Financial Strategy & Leadership
n n Develop and execute Buyhatke's overall financial strategy in line with the company's growth and international expansion plans.
n Work closely with the founders and leadership team on strategic business decisions, investments, expansion plans, and long-term financial planning.
n Establish financial frameworks that enable sustainable and profitable growth.
n Provide data-driven financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
n n Financial Planning & Performance
n n Own annual budgets, forecasts, financial models, and long-term business plans.
n Track and analyze key financial metrics including revenue, gross margins, contribution margins, EBITDA, cash flow, CAC, LTV, and unit economics.
n Establish strong financial reporting and MIS systems for leadership.
n Identify opportunities to improve profitability, cost efficiency, and capital allocation.
n Build scenario models for new products, markets, partnerships, and business initiatives.
n n International Finance & Expansion
n n Lead financial planning and structuring for Buyhatke's international expansion.




n Manage financial operations across India, the US, and European markets.
n Develop appropriate financial structures for international subsidiaries, entities, and operations.
n Ensure compliance with applicable local accounting, taxation, regulatory, and reporting requirements.
n Work with external advisors and experts on international tax, transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and regulatory matters.
n n Fund Raising & Investor Relations
n n Lead fundraising processes in collaboration with the founders and leadership team.
n Develop financial models, investor reports, business plans, and financial due diligence materials.
n Manage relationships with investors, lenders, financial institutions, and other capital providers.
n Support valuation analysis, deal structuring, term sheet evaluation, and transaction negotiations.
n Maintain strong investor reporting and financial governance.
n n Accounting, Compliance & Controls
n n Oversee accounting, taxation, payroll, treasury, audit, and statutory compliance functions.
n Ensure timely and accurate financial statements and reporting.
n Build robust internal controls and financial governance processes.
n Lead statutory, internal, and financial audits.
n Ensure compliance with applicable Indian and international financial regulations.
n n Cash Flow & Treasury Management
n n Own cash flow planning, working capital management, and treasury operations.
n Optimize cash utilization and ensure adequate liquidity for business operations and expansion.
n Manage banking relationships and financial institutions.
n Develop appropriate controls around payments, collections, receivables, and payables.
n n Business Partnership
n n Work closely with Product, Growth, Marketing, Sales, Operations, and Business teams to evaluate the financial impact of key initiatives.
n Develop business cases and financial models for new products, markets, partnerships, and investments.
n Help leadership understand the financial implications of strategic decisions.
n Build a culture of financial discipline and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
n n Build the Finance Function
n n Build and lead a high-performing finance team as the company scales.
n Establish scalable finance processes, systems, policies, and controls.
n Leverage technology and automation to improve financial reporting,



forecasting, compliance, and operational efficiency.
n Develop finance dashboards and reporting mechanisms that provide real-time visibility into business performance.
n n Requirements:
n n 10+ years of experience in Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Financial Planning & Analysis, or related fields, with significant leadership experience.
n Proven experience as a CFO, Finance Director, VP Finance, Head of Finance, or equivalent senior finance leadership role.
n Strong experience working with startups, high-growth companies, technology businesses, or consumer internet companies.
n Experience working with businesses operating across India and international markets, particularly the US and European markets.
n Solid understanding of international accounting, taxation, compliance, cross-border transactions, and financial structuring.
n Proven experience in financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, cash flow management, and business performance management.
n Strong experience with fundraising, investor management, financial due diligence, and M&A;/strategic transactions.
n Strong understanding of business metrics, unit economics, revenue models, and profitability.
n Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
n Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with founders, investors, and senior leadership.
n Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth, and constantly evolving startup environment.
n Strong ownership mindset and ability to build processes and teams from the ground up.
