n Job Summary
n We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead the execution of complex, cross-functional engineering programs in the Electric Vehicle (EV) domain. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end technical program delivery across hardware, embedded software, cloud, and manufacturing teams using a hybrid delivery model that combines Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
n The TPM will serve as the bridge between engineering, product management, manufacturing, suppliers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality, scalable, and compliant EV products.
n Key Responsibilities
n Technical Program Management
n n Lead end-to-end execution of complex EV programs involving hardware, embedded software, cloud, and connected vehicle technologies.
n Define program scope, technical roadmaps, work breakdown structures (WBS), milestones, dependencies, budgets, and delivery plans.
n Coordinate technical execution across Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Embedded Software, Battery Management Systems (BMS), Powertrain, Connectivity, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
n Drive engineering planning from concept through design, validation, production, and product launch (SOP).
n n Hybrid Program Delivery (Waterfall + Agile)
n n Manage hardware development through Waterfall stage-gate processes, including design reviews, prototype builds, validation, regulatory approvals, and production readiness.
n Govern Agile software execution for embedded systems, infotainment, telematics, OTA, cloud, and mobile applications.
n Align sprint deliverables, release planning, and software milestones with hardware integration and manufacturing timelines.
n Coordinate Program Increment (PI) Planning,
sprint planning, release management, and cross-team dependency tracking.
n n Technical Leadership
n n Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Managers, and Technical Leads to define technical strategies and execution plans.
n Identify technical risks, architectural dependencies, and integration challenges early in the development lifecycle.
n Drive engineering trade-off discussions balancing performance, cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
n Ensure successful integration of hardware, firmware, software, and cloud platforms.
n n Cross-Functional Collaboration
n n Lead collaboration across Engineering, Product, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Validation, Quality, Regulatory, and Customer Support teams.
n Coordinate activities with OEM customers, Tier-1 suppliers, and external engineering partners.
n Remove blockers and resolve cross-functional issues impacting program execution.
n n Risk, Quality & Compliance
n n Identify and mitigate technical, program, supply chain, cybersecurity, and manufacturing risks.
n Ensure compliance with automotive quality and safety standards including:
n ASPICE
n ISO 26262
n APQP
n PPAP
n Functional Safety
n Cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434)
n Automotive SPICE processes
n Track engineering KPIs, quality metrics, defect trends, and validation readiness.
n n Stakeholder Management
n n Prepare executive dashboards, program reviews,
and engineering status reports.
n Present technical progress, risks, mitigation plans, and milestone health to senior leadership.
n Manage stakeholder expectations across engineering leadership, product teams, customers, and vendors.
n n Continuous Improvement
n n Improve engineering execution processes, governance, and delivery frameworks.
n Drive adoption of Agile best practices and hybrid delivery models.
n Standardize program metrics, reporting, and engineering operating mechanisms.
n Mentor engineering teams on program execution excellence.
n n Required Skills & Qualifications
n Must-Have
n n Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
n 8–12+ years of experience in Technical Program Management, Engineering Program Management, or Technical Project Management.
n Experience managing large-scale automotive or EV engineering programs.
n Strong understanding of hardware–software co-development.
n Hands-on experience managing cross-functional engineering teams.
n Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
n Strong technical understanding of:
n Excellent communication, leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
n n Valuable to Have
n n PMP Certification.
n SAFe Agilist (SA), SAFe Program Consultant (SPC), Scrum Master, or Agile certifications.
n Experience working with global OEMs or Tier-1 automotive suppliers.
n Experience in EV startups or high-growth automotive organizations.
n Exposure to autonomous driving, ADAS, digital cockpit, or connected mobility platforms.
