1. JOB PURPOSE
Supervisor – ARFF will play an important role of being a part of BIAL’s world class Airport Fire Service and upholding its fire protection category of CAT 10 Level of protection as per ICAO standards, Civil Aviation Requirement (CAR), AAI Fire Order, Fire manual. Ensure preparedness and maintenance of fire station/ MI room / Appliances to meet response time. Respond to Aircraft emergencies for rescue and firefighting and demonstrate leadership at fire ground and exhibit the noble firemen ship at fire ground and save life and property.

· Ensure protected driving & operation of ACFT and safety of self and his crew.
· Ensure relevant mandatory training of self and his crew are completed on time for continuing proficiency
· Ensure all the crew are complied with the competency level as per DGCA requirements.
· Ensure all the documentation pertaining to Drills/training, vehicle operation & maintenance, media and manpower deployment is maintained.
· Ensure all the activities of fire prevention is carried out as per the schedule and reports are generated and shared.
· Ensure Fire safety audits are done as a part of compliance and reports are shared with the concerned.
· Ensuring day to day supervision of the ARFF team in providing CAT 9/10 level of protection to the airport/buildings.
· Respond to any aircraft emergency as per the laid down procedure without any deviation.
· Imparting training to ARFF team and organizing familiarization of aircraft and various buildings & installations of the airport.
· Cross Check the correctness of various day to day reports pertaining to trainings,
vehicles & media and manpower.
· Conduct performance drill and training as per periodicity and generate reports.
· Complete all the mandatory training as required to meet the DGCA competency levels.
· Get updated about all the SOPs, Regulations and day to day activities to ensure smooth running of ARFF operations.
· Participate in mock drills and provide inputs and generate drill report.
· Support fire prevention team in clearing the work permits and also in conducting periodic maintenance and tests of fire extinguishers and other firefighting system

6. JOB SPECIFICATION
5.1. Education qualification and certifications
- 10+2 or Equivalent with BTC training in Aircraft Rescue and firefighting and Refresher training of lead Firemenship course (II) from AAI , Govt defense institutes, with Crash Fire tenders driving and operational skills desirable.
5.2. Years of Experience/Age
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in Civil Aviation Rescue & Firefighting in CAT 09 airports, preference may be given to those who have successfully undergone ICAO approved (BTC) Basic course in aircraft rescue and firefighting from AAI or an ICAO approve institution.
- Personal of SNCO level from Indian Air Force,
Indian Navy of AFSO/ Aircraft handlers trades will be considered at par with the above and be preferred.
- Age between 30 to 40 years.
5.3.Computer skills
- Desirable Basic computer knowledge for working on MS outlook, word, PowerPoint and Excel.
5.4.Knowledge and work skills [Indicate what knowledge (machines, equipment, processes, systems etc.,) and work skills are required]
Good physical standards as per Fire orders, excellent leadership and organizational skills, effective communicator, natural authority, feeling at ease to take on a lead function, ability to remain calm in emergency situations, ability to understand and work in noisy, hazardous, or stressful situations with or without use of equipment’s, ability to communicate with officers, fellow workers and public courteously and tactfully in giving and receiving information’s. Able to consistently demonstrate Fireman ship behaviors, ability communicate with RT phraseology, Fluency in English (oral and written)
