Role Overview

You will run our books day to day on Zoho ERP. Deep, fluent command of Zoho is the single thing this role turns on — it is where the work happens, and it is what we will assess you on hardest.

This is a hands-on, high-volume transaction seat, not a supervisory one. The Finance Manager owns the close calendar, the statutory filings and the reporting pack. What we need from you is accuracy, speed, and books that are always current.

Key Responsibilities





- Books & GL on Zoho Books — own the books end to end: pass journal entries with backup attached, classify expenses to the right GL heads and cost centres, and maintain the chart of accounts and vendor/customer masters. Keep the ledger closable at any point in the month.
- Payables & payments — process vendor invoices, run vendor payments to schedule, and process payroll payment transactions with the related salary, PF, ESI and TDS entries. Handle reimbursements; maintain payables ageing.
- Receivables & invoicing — raise customer and partner invoices, apply receipts, and track collections and receivables ageing.
- Banking — load bank statements into Zoho on a regular cadence, categorise or match every line, and reconcile.
- Month-end — book accruals, prepaid amortisation and provisions (worked out with the Finance Manager), and pull schedules for review.
- Compliance & audit support — prepare and reconcile the data for GST and TDS filings and pull ledgers and schedules for audits. Filing and sign-off sit with the Finance Manager and our external CA, not with you.

What We're Looking For

Zoho Books mastery — non-negotiable, and the first thing we screen on. You should be able to work in Zoho Books without reaching for a manual:



bank feeds and statement imports, categorisation rules and bulk matching, manual journals, recurring bills and invoices, contact and item masters, TDS configuration, and pulling ledgers and ageing reports straight out of the system. Expect to be asked how you would do specific things in Zoho, step by step. If your accounting life has been in Tally or in Excel, this is not the right seat.

- 2–4 years of hands-on Indian accounting — AP, AR, bank reconciliation and journal entries as your daily work, not an occasional task
- Sound double-entry fundamentals and real judgment on expense classification
- Practical familiarity with GST, TDS, PF and ESI — enough to book them correctly and prepare filing data
- Comfortable reconciling a few thousand lines in Excel without losing the thread
- Detail-oriented, and organised enough that someone else can pick up your work and follow it
- Direct about flagging what doesn't reconcile, rather than sitting on it

- CA Inter / CMA Inter cleared
- Startup or fast-paced B2B environment experience
- Exposure to Keka payroll
- Experience in insurance, fintech or financial services
