Job Description: A Field Supervisor in steel manufacturing directs daily shop-floor or field operations, ensuring production quotas are met safely and efficiently. They act as the vital link between management and the workforce, managing staff, enforcing strict safety protocols, and monitoring overall quality. Core Responsibilities

- Production Oversight: Manage daily shift activities, assign tasks to workers, and oversee machinery to meet strict project schedules and output quotas.
- Technical Operations: Read and interpret structural drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications for steel fabrication, fixing, or erection.
- Quality Control: Conduct routine in office inspections to ensure that steel elements, welding, and positioning comply with safety and industry standards (e.g., ISO).
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict health and safety protocols, including the correct usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and heavy machinery operation.
- Team Leadership: Train, mentor, and monitor the performance and attendance of field workers, fabricators, or technicians.
- Reporting:



Maintain daily logs of progress, material usage, equipment malfunctions, and any safety incidents, reporting directly to management.

Key Requirements
- Education & Experience: Typically requires a minimum of 10+2, though a diploma or degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is heavily preferred. Proven experience in industrial steel fabrication, erection, or heavy manufacturing is required.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of steel fixing, welding processes, and structural steel works.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel and MS Word) is generally required for reporting and tracking inventory.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, time management, and problem-solving abilities to coordinate multiple teams and resolve operational bottlenecks.
