About the Role

This opportunity is with a globally recognized organization executing large-scale international Solar Power and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across Australia, the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

The role requires a highly experienced engineering skilled capable of leading utility-scale Solar PV and BESS engineering activities, managing international project requirements, and delivering technically robust, bankable engineering solutions aligned with global standards and utility expectations.

The selected candidate will play a critical role in:

- Leading utility-scale Solar PV & BESS plant engineering activities
- Managing MV/HV systems, substations, grid interconnection, and protection studies
- Delivering high-quality technical documentation and engineering reports
- Ensuring compliance with international codes and standards
- Coordinating with global clients, utilities, consultants, Independent Engineers (IE), and OEMs
- Mentoring and leading engineering teams for international project delivery

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and engineering of utility-scale Solar PV & BESS projects
- Manage DC/AC system design, cable sizing, plant layouts, substations, and grid integration
- Oversee BESS engineering including EMS/BMS architecture, safety systems, and fire protection
- Perform/review power system studies using tools such as PSS/E,



DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP, etc.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IEEE, NFPA, NEC, AS/NZS, and other applicable international standards
- Review technical calculations, specifications, drawings, and engineering deliverables
- Coordinate with utilities, clients, consultants, vendors, and Independent Engineers
- Support engineering execution for projects across international markets
- Lead and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams

Key Requirements

- 10–15 years of experience in Renewable Energy / Power Systems Engineering
- Minimum 4 years managing engineering teams of 10+ engineers in a design center or consultancy environment
- Strong expertise in Solar PV Plant Design and/or BESS Engineering
- Hands-on experience in Grid Connection, HV/MV Substations, and Power System Studies
- Proficiency in engineering tools such as PVSyst, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, PSS/E, or ETAP
- Mandatory experience working on international renewable energy projects
- Strong stakeholder management and team leadership capabilities

Preferred Background

Candidates from EPC companies, renewable energy consultancies, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), or international engineering organizations will be highly preferred.
