Job Description: A DRP (Direct Reduced Plant) Welder in a Steel Manufacturing SID (Steel Induction Division) unit is responsible for assembling, fabricating, and repairing heavy machinery and steel structures. The role involves working in a high-intensity industrial setting, often requiring specialized knowledge of maintenance for conveyor lines, duct lines, and furnace equipment. - Fabrication and Welding: Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding to join, repair, or fabricate industrial metal components.
- Maintenance: Perform welding repairs on SID/RMP (Raw Material Plant) machinery, including conveyor belts and duct lines, to ensure continuous production.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to plan layouts and ensure precision in assembly.
- Material Prep: Cut, grind, and prepare metal components for welding, ensuring surfaces are clean and aligned.
- Weld Inspection:



Conduct visual inspections on welded surfaces to ensure structural integrity and check for flaws or defects.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict occupational health and safety protocols (PPE usage, ventilation). [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Qualification: ITI in Welder trade is typically required.
- Experience: Proven experience in a steel manufacturing plant, specifically SID or RMP departments, with some positions asking for 2-5+ years of experience.
- Techniques: Proficiency in ARC, MIG, and TIG welding techniques.
- Technical Knowledge: Ability to handle heavy welding equipment and interpret blueprints
