- Placing orders: Placing orders and ensuring timely delivery
- Tracking orders: Keeping track of inbound orders and comparing purchases to a master list

- Preparing reports: Preparing reports and communicating with management about prices

- Maintaining inventory: Keeping an eye on inventory and making orders or putting a hold on automatic orders

- Coordinating with branches: Coordinating with company branches to ensure they receive supplies in a timely manner

- Looking for ways to cut costs: Constantly looking for ways to cut back on the company's expenses

Some common qualifications for a purchase job include a degree in business or supply chain management, and experience in procurement or a related field.
- Stocker Also known as a stock clerk,



this role involves organizing and displaying merchandise to ensure customers can find what they're looking for. Duties include counting inventory, adding price tags, and putting products on shelves.
