An MD Medicine specialist is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing a wide range of adult medical conditions and chronic illnesses. The role involves providing comprehensive patient care in both outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) settings, managing emergency medical conditions, and coordinating with other specialists for multidisciplinary treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct detailed clinical evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment of internal medicine cases

- Manage chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, thyroid disorders, and cardiac conditions

- Supervise and provide care in ICU, ward, and emergency settings

- Prescribe medications and formulate evidence-based treatment plans

- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging reports, and pathology findings

- Collaborate with other specialists (e.g., cardiology, nephrology, neurology) for comprehensive patient care





- Provide medical support in preoperative and postoperative care

- Maintain accurate clinical documentation, case histories, and discharge summaries

- Educate patients on preventive care, lifestyle changes, and follow-up treatments

- Participate in medical audits, clinical meetings, and case discussions

- Uphold the highest standards of medical ethics, patient confidentiality, and safety

Qualification:

- MBBS + MD in General Medicine from a recognized medical institution

- Registered with MCI/NMC or State Medical Council
