Job Description: An Electrical Incharge for a Cold Rolling Mill is responsible for the overall electrical operation and maintenance of the mill. This includes ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all electrical equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, and implementing preventive maintenance programs. They may also be involved in the design, installation, and commissioning of new electrical systems. Key Responsibilities:

- Overall Electrical Operation: Oversee and manage the electrical aspects of the cold rolling mill, ensuring smooth and reliable operation.
- Breakdown Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical issues, including breakdowns, faults, and short circuits.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure equipment longevity.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce and maintain electrical safety standards, including proper grounding, guarding, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Electrical System Design and Installation: Participate in the design, installation, and commissioning of recent or modified electrical systems.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of electrical equipment, maintenance activities, and safety inspections.




- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train electrical technicians and other personnel involved in electrical maintenance activities.

Required Skills and Experience:
- Electrical Engineering Degree or Equivalent: A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is typically required.
- Hands-on Electrical Maintenance Experience: Significant experience in electrical maintenance, particularly within a heavy industrial setting like a cold rolling mill, is essential.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve complex electrical problems.
- Knowledge of Electrical Systems and Equipment: Familiarity with various electrical systems, equipment, and technologies used in cold rolling mills, including motors, drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.
- Safety Consciousness: A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations and procedures.
