Job Description:

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and performing advanced accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supporting management with financial analysis and insights. This role plays a key part in month-end and year-end close processes and may mentor junior accounting staff.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

- Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments

- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes

- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and company accounting policies

- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting (as applicable)

- Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations

- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis

- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation

- Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements

- Assist with tax preparation, filings, and regulatory reporting





- Mentor and review work of junior accounting staff

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial initiatives

Qualifications & Skills

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- CPA, CMA, or ACCA certification preferred

- 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience

- Solid knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting standards

- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks)

- Advanced Excel skills

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

- Strong communication and leadership abilities

Working Conditions
