Job Description About the Role:
n We are looking for an experienced Plant Commercial Manager to lead commercial, controlling, and financial governance activities at our Rajpura manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in driving efficient, cost-effective, and compliant plant operations by ensuring financial accuracy, strong internal controls, effective cost management, and sound commercial decision-making.
n The successful candidate will partner closely with Plant Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, and Finance teams to provide financial insights that support business performance and continuous improvement.
n Team Size: 2 Direct Reports
n Key Responsibilities
n Financial Controlling & Reporting
n n Lead plant controlling activities, month-end close processes, and financial reporting.
n Ensure accurate accounting records and timely submission of monthly financial reports.
n Maintain robust financial controls and compliance standards across plant operations.
n n Inventory & Operational Controls
n n Oversee inventory controls for raw oil, work-in-progress (WIP), finished goods, packaging materials, and MRO inventory.
n Manage production and weighbridge control processes to ensure data accuracy in SAP.
n Drive timely reconciliations and strengthen inventory accuracy across the plant.
n n Cost Management & Business Performance
n n Monitor and analyze plant variable and fixed costs against budget and prior-year performance.
n Identify cost-saving opportunities and provide actionable insights to improve financial and operational efficiency.
n Support plant leadership with data-driven recommendations and performance analysis.
n n Commercial Governance & Compliance
n n Manage commercial governance activities including:
n DPO reviews
n Contract evaluations
n Capex evaluations
n GRN and weighbridge reconciliations
n Scrap management
n Statutory and SOX compliance
n Ensure adherence to internal policies,



controls, and regulatory requirements.
n n Team Leadership
n n Lead, coach, and develop the plant commercial team.
n Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
n Ensure timely resolution of audit observations and compliance-related matters.
n n Candidates must posses strong knowledge of:

n SAP and Advanced MS Excel
n Proven ability to analyze production and cost variances and translate financial data into meaningful business insights.
n Experience reviewing commercial contracts and evaluating capital expenditure proposals.

n n Qualifications & Experience
n n Chartered Accountant/Cost Accountant (CA/ICWA) or equivalent professional qualification.
n 10-15 years of relevant experience in:
n Manufacturing Finance
n Plant Controlling
n Commercial Finance
n Industrial Operations Finance
n Prior experience in SAP-driven environments and robust exposure to internal controls and plant operations is highly preferred.
