Job Description Staff Accountant
n Reports To: Director of Accounting
n Location: Remote
n Position Summary
n Cordance is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to support inventory accounting, monthly close, and general ledger activities across a portfolio of operating companies.
n The successful candidate will have strong general accounting fundamentals, inventory accounting experience, and working knowledge of NetSuite's Advanced Inventory functionality.
n The Staff Accountant will partner closely with finance and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory valuation, timely reconciliations, and reliable financial reporting.
n Key Responsibilities
n Inventory Accounting
n n Work within NetSuite's Advanced Inventory module to monitor inventory activity, analyze inventory transactions, support inventory reconciliations, and ensure accurate inventory valuation and financial reporting.
n Prepare and maintain monthly inventory account reconciliations.
n Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate variances.
n Analyze inventory adjustments, write-offs, transfers, and inventory-related transactions.
n Assist with inventory reserve calculations, including excess and obsolete inventory reserves.
n Review inventory aging and support inventory valuation analyses.
n Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded and reflected in financial statements.
n Assist with month-end inventory close activities.
n n General Accounting
n n Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.
n Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses.
n Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.




n Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
n Assist with external audit requests and supporting documentation.
n Maintain accounting records in accordance with US GAAP.
n n Required Qualifications
n n Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
n 3-5+ years of accounting experience.
n 1-3 years of inventory accounting or inventory-related accounting experience.
n 2+ years of NetSuite experience.
n Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
n Experience supporting month-end close processes.
n Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
n Solid analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
n n Preferred Qualifications
n n CA or CPA candidate.
n Experience working in multi-entity environments.
n Experience supporting external audits.
n Familiarity with inventory costing methodologies including FIFO, Average Cost, or Standard Cost.
n n NetSuite Advanced Inventory Experience
n Candidates should have working knowledge and practical experience with NetSuite inventory processes, including:
n n Inventory Valuation Reports
n Inventory Activity Reports
n Inventory Adjustments
n Inventory Transfers
n Cycle Counts and Physical Inventory Processes
n Bin Management
n Lot and Serial Number Tracking
n Item Master Maintenance
n Saved Searches and basic reporting
n Inventory Cost Revaluations
n Assemblies and Work Order transactions
n Deep NetSuite administration expertise is not required; however, candidates should be comfortable navigating inventory transactions, researching discrepancies, and utilizing inventory-related reporting within NetSuite.
