PGT Sanskrit Teacher – Job Description

Position: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Sanskrit

Job Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Sanskrit lessons for Senior Secondary classes (XI–XII).
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, tests, and examination papers.
Teach Sanskrit grammar, literature, language skills, and prescribed syllabus effectively.
Develop students’ reading, writing, comprehension, translation, and communication skills in Sanskrit.
Assess student performance and maintain accurate academic records.
Provide additional support and remedial teaching to students when required.
Prepare students for board examinations and other academic competitions.
Maintain a positive, disciplined, and student-friendly classroom environment.
Integrate digital teaching tools and cutting-edge teaching methodologies into classroom instruction.
Participate in parent-teacher meetings, school events, workshops, staff meetings, and other academic activities.
Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall academic and cultural development of students.

Educational Qualifications
Master’s Degree (M.A./Acharya)



in Sanskrit from a recognized university with the required minimum percentage as per applicable recruitment rules.
B.Ed.
Strong command of Sanskrit grammar, literature, and teaching methodology.
Candidates should meet the specific eligibility requirements of the concerned school/board.

Experience
Previous teaching experience at the Senior Secondary/PGT level will be preferred.
Experience in a CBSE/ICSE/state-board school will be an added advantage.

Skills Required
Excellent subject knowledge and communication skills.
Solid classroom management abilities.
Student-focused and innovative approach to teaching.
Good knowledge of Sanskrit pedagogy and examination patterns.
Basic computer and digital teaching skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a school team.
