Job Responsibilities:
Assemble, fit, and maintain press tools, dies, and fixtures.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of dies.
Troubleshoot die-related issues to minimize production downtime.
Repair, modify, and improve progressive and sheet metal dies.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and tool designs.
Ensure die quality and dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments.
Coordinate with the production and quality teams for smooth operations.
Requirements:
ITI Fitter / Tool & Die Maker or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of experience as a Die Fitter in an automotive or sheet metal manufacturing company.
Positive knowledge of press tools, progressive dies, and die maintenance.
Ability to use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge, and other precision measuring instruments.
Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-focused approach. Typical automotive die fitter roles require experience with die assembly, maintenance, technical drawings, and precision measuring tools.
