We're hiring a WordPress and Shopify Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom websites and e-commerce stores for our clients. You'll work closely with our design and front-end teams to bring projects to life, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our sites are rapid, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities
Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins
Build and manage Shopify stores, including custom themes, apps, and Liquid templating
Write clean, productive, and well-documented PHP, JavaScript, and Liquid code
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and plugins/apps
Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks
Collaborate with designers and project managers to implement pixel-perfect designs
Maintain and update existing client sites, including plugin/theme updates and backups
Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
Stay current with WordPress and Shopify platform updates, trends, and best practices

Requirements




Proven experience as a backend developer working with WordPress (custom themes/plugins) and Shopify (Liquid, custom apps/themes)
Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL
Experience with Shopify's Liquid templating language and Shopify APIs
Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins (WooCommerce, ACF, Elementor, etc.)
Understanding of website security, performance optimization, and SEO fundamentals
Experience with Git/version control
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team setting

Nice to Have
Experience with React, Vue, or other JavaScript frameworks
Familiarity with headless CMS setups
Experience with hosting/server management (cPanel, AWS, etc.)
Prior agency or freelance client-facing experience

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
