Qualifications
GNM or B.Sc. Nursing (Essential)
Valid State Nursing Council Registration
BLS Certification (Essential)
ACLS Certification (Preferred)

Experience
Minimum 1–2 years of ICU or Critical Care nursing experience
Freshers may be considered after ICU orientation and competency assessment

Job Summary

The ICU Staff Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and life-support interventions. The nurse ensures patient safety, infection prevention, medication management, accurate documentation, and compliance with hospital policies and NABH standards.

Key Responsibilities
Monitor critically ill patients and assess clinical status continuously.




Administer medications and IV therapies safely.
Operate and monitor ventilators, infusion pumps, cardiac monitors, and other ICU equipment.
Assist physicians during emergency procedures and resuscitation.
Maintain strict infection prevention and aseptic techniques.
Identify and respond promptly to changes in patient condition.
Educate patients and family members regarding treatment and recovery.
Maintain accurate nursing documentation.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Ensure compliance with ICU protocols and NABH standards.
