Core responsibilities
Routine and preventive maintenance:
Perform regular inspections, cleaning, and maintenance on equipment to prevent breakdowns.
Troubleshooting and repair:
Diagnose and fix both mechanical and electrical problems to restore equipment to operational status.
Installation:
Install current machinery and equipment.
Maintenance planning:
Develop and implement maintenance strategies, schedules, and procedures based on manufacturer recommendations and equipment usage.
Record keeping:
Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and equipment history.
Safety and compliance:
Ensure all maintenance activities comply with relevant safety and environmental standards.
Inventory management:
Manage spare parts inventory to ensure necessary components are available.
Supervision:
Supervise maintenance technicians and other staff, and may coordinate with contractors.
