Job Description:
Technical Inspection: Perform and interpret results for major NDT methods including Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Radiography Testing (RT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT/PT) specifically for foundry products like castings and forgings.
Standards Compliance: Ensure all inspections meet international codes and standards such as ASME, ASTM, and ISO.
Surface Testing: Conduct Magnetic Particle (MPI) and Dye Penetrant (DPT) testing for surface defects.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain quality records, and verify Material Test Certificates (MTC).
Reporting: Prepare inspection reports, maintain records, and evaluate results against casting codes (e.g., ASME, ASTM).
Compliance: Ensure compliance with foundry quality procedures and ASNT SNT-TC-1A guidelines.
Quality Control: Collaborate with production teams to improve casting quality and reduce defects.
Process Improvement: Coordinate with production teams to troubleshoot manufacturing defects and identify root causes of non-conformities.
Training & Supervision: Provide on-the-job guidance to Level 1 technicians and trainees.
Required Qualifications
Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Certification: Valid ASNT Level 2 certification in at least RT, UT, MT, and PT.
Experience: 3 to 7 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing NDT experience specifically in a foundry or steel plant.
