The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for independently assessing patients, developing evidence-based treatment plans, supervising junior physiotherapists, ensuring quality physiotherapy services, and contributing to departmental development and NABH compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments.
Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
Treat orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, sports injury, pediatric, geriatric, and post-operative patients.
Supervise and mentor Junior Physiotherapists and interns.
Review treatment outcomes and modify therapy plans as required.
Ensure complete and accurate documentation of all treatments.
Coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation with doctors, nursing, occupational therapists, and other healthcare specialists.
Conduct patient and family education on rehabilitation and preventive care.
Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of physiotherapy equipment.
Monitor departmental quality indicators and patient satisfaction.
Participate in NABH documentation, audits, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical meetings.
Conduct in-service education and staff training.
Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) – Mandatory
Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) – Preferred
Valid State Physiotherapy Council Registration
