Description

We are seeking a Linux Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux system administration, providing expert support and guidance on Linux environments to ensure optimal performance and security.

Responsibilities

- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Linux-based systems and servers.
- Troubleshooting and resolving system issues and performance bottlenecks.
- Performing system backups, recovery, and security management.
- Automating routine tasks using scripting languages such as Bash or Python.
- Collaborating with development teams to optimize applications for Linux environments.
- Monitoring system performance and ensuring high availability and reliability of services.
- Participating in capacity planning and system upgrades.





Skills and Qualifications

- 6-9 years of experience in Linux system administration and support.
- Proficiency in Linux distributions (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, etc.).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a plus.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Solid scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
