Job Title Medical Typist Department Medical Records Administration Reports To Medical Superintendent Medical Records Officer Job Summary The Medical Typist is responsible for accurately typing and preparing medical reports discharge summaries investigation results and other clinical documents from dictated or handwritten notes ensuring confidentiality accuracy and timely completion Key Responsibilities Type medical documents including patient case sheets discharge summaries prescriptions and investigation reports Maintain accuracy in spelling grammar and medical terminology Ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times Coordinate with doctors nurses and other staff to clarify unclear dictations or notes Organize and maintain electronic and paper records efficiently Assist in preparing reports required for audits and NABH compliance Deliver completed work within set deadlines Follow hospital policies and maintain professional communication Qualification Experience Graduate preferably in Arts Commerce Science Certificate or diploma in typing or medical transcription preferred Good knowledge of medical terminology Proficiency in MS Office and typing speed of at least 40 wpm Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital or medical setup preferred Skills Required Excellent typing and proofreading skills Attention to detail and accuracy Strong time management and communication skills Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow data protection guidelines Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 9 351 85 - 15 000 00 per month Advantages Health insurance Provident Fund Work Location In person
