Key Responsibilities Imaging Duties Perform diagnostic ultrasound and mammography procedures as per physician instructions and department protocols Ensure accurate positioning of the patient and proper functioning of imaging equipment Capture high-quality images and ensure timely submission for radiologist review Maintain and calibrate equipment regularly reporting any malfunctions promptly Patient Orientation Support Greet patients warmly and verify their identity and procedure Explain the imaging process in a transparent reassuring manner addressing any concerns or fears Provide instructions for pre- and post-procedure care when applicable Ensure patient comfort privacy and dignity during the procedure Assist patients with mobility or special needs during the imaging process Administrative Documentation Maintain accurate patient records and imaging logs Ensure compliance with hospital protocols safety standards and quality control procedures Adhere to infection control radiation safety and hygiene guidelines at all times Collaboration Communication Work closely with radiologists physicians and nursing staff to coordinate patient care Educate and support patients and their families as needed Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Compassionate and patient-focused approach Attention to detail and ability to follow imaging protocols Proficient in operating sonography and mammography equipment Ability to handle confidential information professionally
