Job Summary The Manufacturing Engineer I4 0 will support Industry 4 0 deployment and will be the Operations Manufacturing technology leader in the deployment of Manufacturing Execution System MES and Smart Benches for Eaton Bangalore s manufacturing processes This role will identify develop and drive the deployment of technology-based solutions for enabling a digital transformation within our manufacturing operations This includes equipment connectivity plant application reporting analytical skills and dashboards that accurately represent manufacturing process status and performance Responsible for design specification and implementation of safe and efficient manufacturing processes including machine guarding and controls tooling fixtures gauges material handling and process documentation Support day-to-day manufacturing operation Includes collection and analysis of manufacturing data to implement process improvements that improve safety product quality customer delivery and cost reductions Provide mentorship to other members of the Eaton team in manufacturing engineering and I4 0 competencies Job Responsibilities Demonstrated ability to accurately deal with multiple technical tasks ensuring timely completion as per business requirements Multi-Tasking Work to implement Process improvements to improve part quality reduce cycle time and cost Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting as an individual contributor Experience with GD T and Drawing reading model interrogation Address the MRB conditions and recommend and implement necessary corrective actions 8D RCCA Etc Participation in Change Board and Configuration activities Create Part Manufacturing Data sheets manufacturing Process Planning documentation Provide support to production floor with drawing and technical specifications interpretations to ensure business delivers its commitments Prevent Process bottlenecks and improve processes using Lean Tools and Process improvement initiatives RIE VSM CI 6 Sigma etc Good understanding of Assembly sequencing GD T Aerospace Manufacturing documentation like APQP and AS9100 System Requirements Good Verbal and Written communication Skills shall present numerical data effectively Expert in Manufacturing Process Planning Creation of BOMs Technical Manufacturing instructions PPAP tools PFMEA MSA Control Plans SPC Experience in Aerospace Processes and materials must be from Manufacturing Background Very Good Working experience of NADCAP requirements Demonstrated experience using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for Process Improvements Demonstrated experience on tooling design and manufacturing Responsible for deployment of Eaton Aerospace Group strategy for Smart factories I4 0 IoT at the Bangalore facility Leverage digital tools to automate and control manufacturing processes and operations Implement digital solutions to drive process capability work instructions error-proofing automation inspection data analysis process monitoring reporting Designs processes to ensure components and assemblies meet customer quality specifications Eaton Quality System AS9100 NADCAP Work directly with manufacturing operators to troubleshoot and improve fabrication assembly measuring and testing Collect and analyze manufacturing data and metrics to aid design and process improvements Collaborate with ProLaunch new product development teams to ensure proper use of MES and Smart Factory concepts Mentor others in Manufacturing Engineering competencies processes I4 0 technologies and lean concepts Other duties as assigned Qualifications Engineering degree in Electromechanical or Controls Mechanical Engineering 7 years of experience in a technical role supporting manufacturing processes or other related engineering function Technical Skills Experience using MRP PDM and MES software solutions ideally those used by Eaton QAD MFG Pro Dassault ENOVIA PTC Thing Worx Direct experience with design implementation or improvement of automated equipment tooling or fixtures with demonstrated results Strong project and time management organizational and analytical skills HTML CSS Python Power Tools 3D modelling RPT Rapid Prototyping Basic Understanding of PLC Software s and ladder logic Cobot Programming and basic understanding Experience in Computer Vision And Machine Learning Basic Drawing Reading and understanding Basic Understanding of Manufacturing Processes like PFMEA RCCA SOP BOM CI Tools Soft Skill Ability to communicate with global stakeholders shop floor employees Collaborating with team and achieve results Should be a learner willing to learn and execute faster
