Job Category Credit Risk As part of Risk Management and Compliance you are at the center of keeping JPMorgan Chase strong and resilient You help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating current and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company customers and communities Our culture in Risk Management and Compliance is all about thinking outside the box challenging the status quo and striving to be best-in-class Credit Risk Management houses the bank s internal credit experts who provide transaction execution and ongoing management of the bank s credit exposure portfolio The team covers activities of the bank that give rise to credit risk across multiple products An opportunity has arisen for a Credit Officer to join the Asia Funds Team serving as the Primary Credit coverage for a portfolio of Hedge Funds Mutual Funds and Asset Managers domiciled in Asia Pacific Responsibilities As the Credit Officer managing a portfolio of Asia-Pac Hedge Funds and Asset Managers you will act as the main point of contact for all Lines of Businesses Maintain primary responsibility for the management of the on-going credit relationship by assigning internal ratings recommending credit appetite and critically assessing the output of risk measures to determine appropriateness Lead client due diligence meetings transaction structuring execution and oversee negotiation of legal documentation Review and approve trading activity including recommending margin requirements as well as structural solutions to mitigate risks Be responsive and constructive with colleagues in the Business Legal Build effective client partnerships both internally and externally Ensure that the Business priorities are understood challenged and managed while remaining constructive Independently drive end-to-end processes and transactions including leading discussions with stakeholders and senior credit risk management Communicate key risk views in a clear and concise manner Demonstrate deep understanding of Hedge Fund Asset Manager investment strategies and risks inherent to them Coach and train junior members of the team to think holistically about risk and ensure all issues are escalated in a timely manner challenge their recommendations provide guidance and feedback on their work to improve quality of output and efficiency Maintain a detailed and forward-looking knowledge of developments in regulatory frameworks industry and market trends across Asia and globally when relevant and incorporating these insights into effective management of portfolio risk Be a thought leader driving key initiatives and process changes on the back of proactively identifying limitations gaps in systems risk controls and policies Work closely with NA EMEA Credit counterparts to drive a consistent global coverage model Minimum Skills Experience and Qualifications We are looking for someone excited to join our organization If you meet the minimum requirements below you are encouraged to apply to be considered for this role Bachelor s Degree in Business Finance or a related field Relevant post graduate qualifications e g CFA Masters of Finance would be highly regarded Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management in the financial services industry Familiarity with the concepts of Credit Risk -
