EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent position | Full time

LOCATION: Mangalore

REQUIREMENT:

- Work experience of 10-15 years out of which at least 5 years of experience at supervisory position in water/waste water, food and soil testing lab having facilities as per IS/ISO, ALPHA and ASTM procedures.
- Knowledge of ISO 17025, ISO 9001, ISO 18001 and ISO 14001 procedures
- Experience in operation of UV-Vis spectrophotometer, Atomic Absorption spectrophotometer, ICP-AES, Gas Chromatograph, HPLC and other related instruments.
- Working knowledge of drinking water, wastewater sampling and routine process control tests.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Should be thorough in Laboratory management.
- Excellent Organization skills.

EDUCATION: BSc (Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) and MSc (Chemistry- Inorganic/Analytical) from a reputed university/institution

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Ability to develop, organize, and improve the management records and reports pertinent to the activities for Regulatory Compliance.
- Personnel management of Laboratory,



to include recruiting, job assignments, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, job allotment etc.
- Maintain chemical inventory, stock supplies and general grounds/facility maintenance.
- Assist in the sample collection and analysis of wastewater samples and perform various lab tests, waste removal and other remediation services as needed.
- Ensure that laboratory cost reporting, revenue reporting, and other financial data are accurate and submitted timely.
- Responsible for assuring routine inspection and preventive maintenance and/or minor repair of laboratory equipment, ensuring that they are functioning properly and in a safe and efficient work workplace.
- Review industrial news and research to help consistently implement current best practices into laboratory operations.
