Revenue Accounting & Recognition

Own the end-to-end revenue accounting process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with ASC 606, US GAAP, and internal policies.

Analyze and review customer contracts, purchase orders, and trade agreements to determine the appropriate revenue recognition treatment.

Complete semi-annual transit time studies for customers with FOB Destination shipping terms.

Prepare and post monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue journal entries, including deferred revenue and accrued revenue.

Perform month-end revenue close activities, including reconciliation of revenue sub-ledgers to the general ledger.

Manage complex revenue streams across multiple sales channels, including e-commerce and wholesale.

Monitor and analyze gross-to-net revenue deductions, ensuring proper classification and timely recording.

Partner with Sales, Commercial Finance, and Legal teams to evaluate the revenue accounting implications of new contracts, promotions, and commercial arrangements.

Manage customer pricing in SAP, including customer-specific pricing, allowances, discounts, and rebate structures.

Accounts Receivable Management

Oversee the complete Accounts Receivable (AR) lifecycle, including invoice generation, cash application, customer account reconciliations, and collections.

Manage and maintain the AR sub-ledger, ensuring timely and accurate recording of customer payments, credit memos, and adjustments.

Review and approve credit memos, write-offs, and bad debt provisions in accordance with company policies.

Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and implement initiatives to improve collection efficiency and cash flow.





Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing documentation and supporting schedules for AR-related audits.

Ensure compliance with SOX controls governing revenue recognition and accounts receivable processes.

Financial Reporting & Analysis

Prepare monthly revenue and AR analytical reports for senior leadership and FP&A.;

Assist in preparing quarterly and annual financial statement footnote disclosures related to revenue and accounts receivable.

Perform variance analysis comparing actual revenue against budget and forecast, providing explicit explanations for significant variances.

Develop and maintain revenue reporting dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.

Support internal and external audit requests related to revenue recognition and accounts receivable.

Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate revenue accounting and AR processes and lead or support implementation initiatives.

Collaborate with IT and ERP teams on system enhancements, integrations, testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for billing, AR, and revenue modules.

Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to junior accounting team members on revenue accounting and AR best practices.

Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for revenue recognition policies and accounts receivable processes across the organization.

Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities while ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.

Preferred candidate profile

Strong working knowledge of ASC 606 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers) & US GAAP
Demonstrated experience managing the complete AR lifecycle, including billing, cash application, collections
