A growing sheet metal fabrication and industrial engineering company with manufacturing operations across Aligarh and Greater Noida.

Supplies fabricated structures, assemblies, and components to domestic and international customers across automotive, agricultural, earthmoving, and infrastructure sectors.

Currently ISO-certified and on an active roadmap to IATF 16949 the HOQ will own and lead this transition end-to-end.

Why This Role

This is a greenfield leadership opportunity not a maintenance role. You will be the first dedicated HOQ in a promoter-led organisation that is professionalising its quality function from the ground up.

You will report directly to the Promoter, own the function with full decision-making authority, and build systems, culture, and capability across two plants.

Key Responsibilities

IATF 16949 Transition (Priority #1)

- Lead the organisation's journey from ISO 9001 to IATF 16949 certification gap analysis, system design, documentation, internal audits, and certification readiness
- Serve as Management Representative post-certification; own the QMS long-term
- Build audit readiness culture across Aligarh and Greater Noida plants

Quality Systems & Culture

- Replace inspection-only quality mindset with a process-driven, PFMEA/Control Plan-led quality culture
- Establish and standardise quality systems across multiple product categories and both plants
- Build RCA, CAPA, 8D, and audit documentation discipline from scratch




- Set up quality KPIs, MIS dashboards, and management review rhythm

Customer Quality Including Export

- Own end-to-end customer quality for domestic and international (US/global) clients
- Handle customer audits, quality escapes, corrective actions, and complaint resolution independently
- Be the face of quality in all customer conversations robust English communication is essential

Supplier Quality & Incoming

- Build a supplier rating and development system from scratch
- Conduct vendor audits, drive PPAP approvals, and reduce incoming defects
- Establish incoming quality standards for sheet metal, welded parts, coatings, and bought-out components

In-Process & Outgoing Quality

- Set up in-process inspection protocols for fabrication, welding (MIG/TIG), press shop, CNC bending, surface treatment, and assemblies
- Drive zero-defect mindset on the shop floor — reduce internal PPM and customer escapes
- Implement SPC, MSA, and process capability studies on critical processes

Team & Technology

- Lead, mentor, and build the quality team across both locations
- Actively use SAP/ERP for quality transactions, NCR tracking, and audit trails
- Comfortable using digital tools, data dashboards,



and AI-assisted workflows in daily work

Must-Have Requirements

- IATF 16949 Lead Auditor Certification — non-negotiable; must be current and active
- Experience leading or actively participating in IATF 16949 implementation at a manufacturing plant (not just maintaining an inherited system)
- Background in sheet metal fabrication, welding, press shop, coatings, or heavy fabrication — not injection moulding, HVAC, or plastics
- Ownership of customer-facing quality including international/export accounts
- SAP or ERP working experience in quality modules
- Strong English communication — written and spoken; will interact directly with US clients
- Willingness to be permanently based in Aligarh with regular Greater Noida travel
- Proven ability to work in and thrive in smaller, leaner, owner-led organisations — anti-jugaad, systems-first mindset

Good-to-Have

- VDA 6.3 Process Auditor trained
- Six Sigma Green/Black Belt
- Experience building supplier rating systems from scratch
- Exposure to agricultural, earthmoving, railway, or structural fabrication

Not Suitable

- Candidates from purely QC/inspection roles without QA system ownership
- Candidates unwilling to relocate to Aligarh permanently
- Profiles without IATF Lead Auditor certification
- Candidates from injection moulding, HVAC, plastics, or non-fabrication domains
- Pure MNC/corporate layer managers with no hands-on ground experience

Education B.E. / B.Tech – Mechanical Engineering (mandatory) MBA in Quality/Operations (preferred)
