The CFO will be a strategic and operational finance leader, responsible for driving financial excellence across manufacturing, recycling operations, and trading/export activities. The role requires strong expertise in commodity-linked businesses, working capital management, compliance, and plant finance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership

- Partner with promoters to define long-term financial strategy and growth roadmap
- Lead financial planning for capacity expansion, new plants, and diversification (e.g., recycling streams)
- Drive profitability improvement across plants and product lines

2. Plant & Manufacturing Finance

- Oversee plant-level P&L;, costing, and margin analysis
- Implement robust systems for:
- Yield optimization (input scrap vs output metal)
- Cost control (energy, raw material, recovery efficiency)

- Monitor inventory valuation (LME-linked pricing, metal exposure)

3. Working Capital & Treasury Management

- Manage high working capital cycles involving:
- Scrap procurement
- Inventory-heavy operations

- Optimize:

- Cash flow
- Banking lines (CC/WC limits, LCs, BGs)

- Drive relationships with banks/NBFCs for structured finance

4. Commercial Finance & Trade

- Oversee financial aspects of:
- Domestic and export sales
- Commodity price risk (Metal, alloys)

- Implement hedging strategies (if applicable)




- Ensure pricing discipline linked to metal benchmarks

5. Compliance, Audit & Governance

- Ensure compliance with:
- GST, Income Tax, Customs (import/export)
- Environmental & recycling regulations

- Lead:

- Internal audit systems
- Statutory audits and reporting

- Strengthen governance in a promoter-driven setup

6. Fundraising & Investor Management

- Lead fundraising initiatives:
- Debt structuring
- Private equity / strategic investors (if expansion planned)

- Prepare financial models, IMs, and due diligence data rooms

7. Systems & Process Transformation

- Implement ERP and digital finance systems across plants
- Drive automation in:
- Procurement to payment cycle
- Inventory tracking

- Build MIS dashboards for real-time decision-making

8. Team Leadership

- Build and mentor finance teams across HO and plant locations
- Establish strong finance controls across decentralized operations

Candidate Profile

Must Have

- CA / MBA Finance (Tier-1 preferred)
- 15-20 years of experience
- Prior experience in:
- Metals / Mining / Recycling / Manufacturing / Commodity trading

- Strong exposure to:

- Plant finance
- Working capital-heavy businesses

Valuable to Have

- Experience in non-ferrous metals, battery recycling, or scrap ecosystem
- Exposure to export/import finance
