Finance & Accounts AM/DM : Solar O&M;

Job summary :

The Finance & Accounts Executive for Solar Operations & Maintenance (O&M;) will be responsible for overseeing and executing financial accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities related to solar plant operation & maintenance entities. The role involves working closely with Operations team, vendors, internal stakeholders, and auditors to ensure accurate financial management and reporting of O&M; activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain day-to-day financial transactions related to solar O&M; activities.
- Record and reconcile accounts payable/receivable, general ledger entries, and bank transactions.
- Manage accounting entries for service contracts, spare parts, and operational expenses.
- Handle month-end and year-end closing processes.

Budgeting & Forecasting

- Prepare O&M; budgets in coordination with the operations team.
- Monitor actual expenses vs. budget and report variances with explanations.
- Assist in financial planning and forecasting for O&M; revenue and cost streams.
- Raise and track invoices for O&M; services provided to clients including revenue recognition.
- Ensure timely collection and follow-up on outstanding payments.




- Recognize revenue in compliance with accounting standards.

Compliance & Auditing

- Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations (GST, TDS, etc.).
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Maintain documentation and records for audit trails.

Vendor Management & Payments

- Process vendor payments and maintain proper documentation.
- Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and O&M; teams on service-related payments.

MIS & Reporting

- Preparation of Quarterly and annual financial statements as per Ind AS
- Generate financial reports, dashboards, and MIS specific to O&M; operations.
- Provide reports to management on plant-wise profitability, cost analysis, and operational efficiency.
- Assist in CAPEX and OPEX analysis for ongoing projects.

Qualifications & Skills:

- Chartered accountant having experience of 1.5+ years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Solid understanding of Indian accounting standards and tax law.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Preferred experience in solar O&M; or renewable energy businesses
