The Supplier Due Diligence Specialist is responsible for conducting comprehensive due diligence and risk assessments of vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves evaluating vendor risk profiles, identifying potential risks, and collaborating with the Compliance officer to develop mitigation strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on both potential and existing vendors. This should include thorough background checks, financial analysis, and compliance reviews.
2. Risk Assessment: Evaluate vendor risk profiles based on various factors such as financial stability, operational capabilities, compliance history, and cybersecurity measures.
3. Compliance Management: Ensure all vendor relationships comply with internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Monitor and manage compliance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including procurement, legal, compliance teams, and vendors, to ensure a holistic approach to vendor risk management.
4. Audits: Regularly audit vendor processes and performance to ensure ongoing compliance and risk mitigation.
Identify areas for improvement and work with vendors to implement necessary changes.
5. Data Analysis: Analyze data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in vendor performance and risk profiles. Use data-driven insights to inform risk assessment and decision-making processes.
6. Documentation: Maintain detailed records of due diligence and risk assessment processes, findings, and recommendations.
7. Reporting: Prepare and present risk assessment reports to senior management, highlighting key risks and recommended actions.
8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to improve the vendor due diligence and risk assessment processes continuously.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree.
2. Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in supplier due diligence, procurement, or supply chain management.
3. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in using due diligence and risk assessment tools.
6. Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to supplier management.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
