Roles & responsibilities

As a Tax Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our tax team with the preparation, analysis, and filing of state and local tax returns. You will leverage your expertise in data analysis and various software tools to ensure compliance and optimize tax processes. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

•Assist in the preparation and filing of state and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.•Conduct detailed data analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and potential risks.•Perform reconciliations of tax accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance.•Perform trending analysis to identify patterns and insights in tax data.•Utilize SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for tax reporting and analysis.•Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Power BI to provide insights into tax data and trends.•Use Alteryx for data preparation, blending,



and advanced analytics to streamline tax processes.•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data for tax purposes.•Support the implementation and maintenance of Snowflake for efficient data storage and retrieval.•Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and identify potential impacts on the organization.•Assist in tax audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities as needed.•Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve tax processes and systems.

Qualifications

Educational qualifications

•Minimum Master’s Degree from reputable universities with excellent academic result, majoring in Accounting or Finance

Work Experience

•Minimum of 0-2 years of skilled experience, preferably from State and Local Taxes

Mandatory technical & functional skills

•Proficiency in data analysis and experience with SQL queries.•Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting.•Familiarity with Alteryx for data preparation and analytics.•Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs.•Proven leadership skills.•Strong analytical and advisory skills.•Able to work in fast moving and demanding environment.
