Role Description The Western Flute Teacher will deliver live, interactive online flute lessons to students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced players, in a full-time remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and structuring lesson content, demonstrating proper flute techniques, providing constructive feedback, and tracking student progress. The teacher will integrate music theory and ear training into lessons, prepare students for performances or assessments, and adapt teaching methods to different learning styles.

Additional duties may include developing practice materials,



collaborating with the WinQuest Online team to enhance curriculum offerings, and maintaining clear communication with students and caregivers to support ongoing learning goals.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong flute performance skills and a solid foundation in Western classical music.

Candidates should possess knowledge of music theory and general music fundamentals to support structured, skills-based instruction.

Candidates should possess experience or training in music education, including lesson planning and student assessment.

Candidates should possess proficiency in at least one additional instrument such as piano to aid in accompaniment and teaching support.

Relevant qualifications include prior online or in-person teaching experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage and motivate learners in a virtual classroom.

A degree or formal certification in Music, Music Education, or a related field is preferred, along with reliable internet access and comfort using online teaching platforms.
