About the Position
Anchor Container Services is looking for a Design Engineer with strong knowledge of Design, Estimation, Costing, BOQ, and Tendering.
The ideal candidate should have practical experience in handling project requirements, technical design, estimation, costing, quotation preparation, and tender submission.
Candidates with relevant experience in prefabricated, modular, portable building, project-based manufacturing, construction, water/wastewater treatment, or related industries will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Prepare engineering drawings, layouts, plans, elevations, sections, and technical drawings.
- Prepare and modify designs according to project requirements.
- Study customer specifications, drawings, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with production, fabrication, purchase, site, and management teams.
Estimation & Costing
- Prepare detailed project estimates and costing.
- Prepare BOQ and material quantity calculations.
- Calculate material, labour, fabrication, transportation, installation, and other project-related costs.
- Prepare rate analysis and evaluate material/vendor rates.
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations.
Tendering
- Handle tender-related activities from enquiry to submission.
- Study tender documents, specifications, drawings, BOQ, and commercial requirements.
- Prepare technical and commercial tender documents.
- Coordinate internally for technical and commercial information.
- Ensure tender documents are complete and submitted within deadlines.
- Maintain records of quotations and submitted tenders.
- Follow up on tender enquiries and commercial opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
- Practical experience in Design + Estimation + Costing + Tendering.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of BOQ and quantity calculations.
- Knowledge of rate analysis and project costing.
- Positive understanding of tender documents and submission procedures.
- Ability to independently prepare estimates and quotations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work with deadlines and handle multiple enquiries.
- Responsible, detail-oriented, and willing to learn.
Preferred Industry Experience
Candidates with experience in
- Prefabricated / modular buildings
- Portable structures / portable buildings
- Project-based manufacturing
- Construction-related engineering
- Water / wastewater treatment projects
- Similar technical project industries
will be preferred. Candidates who can independently handle both technical design and commercial costing/tendering will be given preference.
Salary & Benefits
Fixed Salary: 25,000 per month
