Role Description The Video Editor role at The Otieno Media is a part-time, hybrid position based in the Pune Division, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements.

The Video

Editor will edit raw footage into compelling videos for social media, websites, and other digital platforms, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and campaign objectives. Day-to-day tasks include assembling clips, adding transitions, synchronizing audio, applying color grading, and incorporating motion graphics and text overlays.



The role also involves collaborating with designers, content creators, and marketing team members to refine concepts, manage feedback, and deliver high-quality video assets on schedule.

Qualifications

- Robust skills in Video Production and Video Editing, with the ability to manage footage from planning to final output.
- Proficiency in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent, professional visual quality across projects.
- Experience with Motion Graphics and Graphics for creating engaging titles, lower thirds, animations, and visual elements.
- Familiarity with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or equivalents).
- Attention to detail, strong visual storytelling ability, and an understanding of digital marketing and social media formats.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a hybrid work environment and meet deadlines independently.
- Relevant coursework, certification, or prior experience in video editing, film, media, or a related field is advantageous.
